Infinitely.
"Lord make me an instrument of thy PEACE where there is Hatred, let me sow LOVE where there is Injury, PARDON where there is Error, TRUTH where there is Discord, HARMONY where there is Doubt, FAITH where there is Despair, HOPE where there is Darkness, LIGHT and where there is Sorrow, JOY."
Trains.
Two weekends ago I was able to finally take my little nephew, Kingston, on a miniature train ride at the park I live near. It only runs once a month so it's been difficult to catch. But King enjoyed it very much! It never seizes to amazes me how much happiness is brought to you through making a loved one, especially a child, happy. I can't even begin to imagine how that will feel once I have my own children. I definitely recommend taking the kiddos to wilson park for this free ride if you're in the southbay area.

admiration.
My mother told me one day that she doesn't understand how some people can say that they love their grand children more than their own children. How can you love someone/something more than your own child? The child you have conceived, carried and delivered into this world. The most precious treasure God could bless us with. I told her maybe it's not that people love their grand children more but they do so with more ease because they no longer have to face the challenges and obstacles that come along with raising a child. I believe that sometimes life gets the best of people. Life (e.g.societal norms & such) intrudes our every being and obscures our view of things. Even, precious things like our children. My concluding thought: nobody loves their grand children more than their own children it just seems that way. They simply love easier and with lighter eyes because they don't have all the societal pressure built up around them any longer. With that thought my mother said this "she definitely loves Kingston, her grandson, but loves Jesse, her son, more and loves Jesse even more watching him love Kingston.
I feel I completely captured the essence of this statement, accidentally that is, in this photo.
My brother, Jesse, admiring his son, Kingston, while my mother is admiring him, while her boyfriend, Ken, is admiring her admiring Jesse admiring Kingston.

A small project.
It started with a source of inspiration: A beautiful rose-like succulent given to me as a gift from the boyfriend, Aubrey.

4am.
Up at 4am studying...
Suddenly startled by the ground shaking beneath me.
Poor Teddi sat motionless with the most terrified look on her face.
4.4 earthquake in Los Angeles.

Fitting.
Today, while talking to my beautiful friend Elysabeth, I reopened a part in A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle and read aloud a page that I had previously marked. And it was exactly what I needed to hear at that exact moment.
Thank you, synchronicity.
"Being at peace and being who you are, that is, being yourself, are one. The ego says: Maybe at some point in the future, I can be at peace -- if this, that, or the other happens, or I obtain this or become that. Or it says: I can never be at peace because of something that happened in the past . . . The ego doesn't know that your only opportunity for being at peace is now. Or maybe it does know, and it is afraid that you may find this out. Peace, after all, is the end of the ego.
How to be at peace now? By making peace with the present moment. The present moment is the field on which the game of life happens. It cannot happen anywhere else. Once you have made peace with the present moment, see what happens, what you can do or choose to do, or rather what life does through you. There are three words that convey the secret of the art of living, the secret of all success and happiness: One With Life. Being one with life is being one with Now. You then realize that you don't live your life, but life lives you. Life is the dancer, and you are the dance."
